Our tests are divided into several categories:
• Relationship tests, which identify whether a biological relationship exists between 2 or more individuals: paternity test, maternity test, twin zygosity test, sibling test, grandparent relationship test, aunt/uncle relationship test.
• Wellness tests, which provide information on how your genes may influence your lifestyle, preferences, health, and well-being: sport & performance test, nutrition test, skin care test, talent & personality test.
• Health tests, which can identify genetic predispositions to certain diseases or how the body metabolizes certain medications, among other things: pharmacogenetic test, genetic predisposition test.
• An ancestry test, which aims to provide insight into an individual's family origins and genetic lineage across different historical periods.
• Microbiome tests, which identify and quantify the various bacteria and other microorganisms present in a person's microbiome: oral microbiome test, gut microbiome test.
• Biomarker tests, which measure specific substances in the blood to assess a person's state of health, detect diseases, or track their progression: Biomarker Hormone+ Panel, Biomarker Metabolic+ Panel, Biomarker Thyroid+ Panel, Biomarker Foundation Panel.

If it is a relationship test, the report will give you a clear conclusion regarding the relationship analyzed (paternity, maternity, sibling relationship, etc.), as well as the associated statistical probabilities, calculated according to international standards.

Relationship tests are extremely reliable for confirming or excluding a biological relationship, but they provide no information about health or ethnic origins. Legal relationship tests are recognized for judicial, immigration, or other legal authority purposes.

Adnà offers tests for informational and educational purposes. These tests are not intended to be used as a diagnostic tool. Traits and results are not influenced by genetics alone, but also by environment, upbringing, lifestyle, and other factors. Results should be interpreted with caution and, if needed, with a healthcare professional.

Yes. The process is designed to be simple, fast, and discreet. You receive an easy-to-use kit containing everything needed to collect a cheek sample in just a few seconds. The instructions are clear, sample collection is done at home with no appointment or medical procedure required, returning your sample is simplified with the included envelope, the analysis is performed in accredited laboratories, and results are received confidentially through the secure portal. Both tests analyze DNA in the same way and offer the same scientific accuracy. The difference lies in the chain of custody and the use of the results:
• The informational test is performed at home with a standard kit, without identity verification, and is used for personal or family purposes.
• The legal test requires supervised sample collection, formal identity verification, complete chain-of-custody documentation, and a strict protocol; its results can be recognized for judicial, immigration, court, or other authority proceedings.

No. Sample collection is painless. It involves a simple cheek swab, gently rubbed against the inside of the cheek for a few seconds. No blood draw, needles, or medical procedure are required. The method is safe, gentle, and suitable for all ages, including children.

Relationship tests offer extremely high accuracy. For a positive paternity or relationship result, the biological relationship is confirmed with a probability of at least 99.99%. For a paternity exclusion, if the tested individual is not the biological father, the result is considered 100% certain. Analyses are performed according to strict international standards in accredited laboratories.

Yes, provided the kit instructions are followed and male contamination is avoided during sample collection. The accuracy rate is 99.9% under optimal conditions. If in doubt, the Adnà team can guide the client.

Yes, for relationship tests, our partner laboratory can perform the analysis on non-standard samples, such as a toothbrush or blood. The price is higher, generally between $600 and $850 depending on the case, and the turnaround time is longer, as the laboratory must first apply an extraction method suited to the type of material. Some samples, such as rootless hair, old tissue, or very old cigarette butts, may contain very little or degraded DNA, so the risk of an inconclusive result is often higher than with a saliva test.

A twin zygosity test determines whether twins are monozygotic (identical) or dizygotic (fraternal) by comparing their DNA. A sibling test instead evaluates the biological relationship between two individuals to determine whether they are siblings, by analyzing the proportion of shared DNA.
