Genetic predisposition test: know your risks to better prevent them
Adnà’s genetic predisposition test analyzes over 700,000 genetic markers to compare your predisposition to many diseases with that of the general population. A simple saliva sample, collected at home, is all it takes. The analysis is carried out by an accredited partner laboratory using Illumina technology. You receive your report as a PDF by email 30 to 45 business days after the lab receives your sample.
This test does not provide a diagnosis. It gives you reference points to discuss with a health professional and to guide your prevention choices.
What your report includes
- Biometric predispositions. Your genetic risk for conditions such as type 1 diabetes, compared with most of the population.
- Complex diseases. Common diseases influenced by both genes and lifestyle, such as certain cardiovascular diseases.
- Mutations linked to inherited diseases. A screening for genetic variants associated with hundreds of conditions.
How to read a genetic predisposition
A predisposition is a probability, not a certainty. A higher-than-average risk does not mean you will develop the disease, and a low risk does not protect you from it. For most common diseases, genes are only one factor among others: diet, physical activity, smoking and environment often matter just as much.

How much does the test cost?
The genetic predisposition test costs €279. The price includes the kit, the prepaid return label, the lab analysis and the report.

How the test works, step by step

- Collect your saliva sample following the instructions. Our user guide shows you each step.
- Send the sample back with the prepaid return label included in your kit.
- Get your report by email, as a PDF, 30 to 45 business days after the lab receives your sample. This timeframe reflects the analysis of hundreds of thousands of markers.
What if your report shows a higher risk?
Talk to your doctor. They can put the result in the context of your personal and family history and, if needed, prescribe a clinical genetic test to confirm it. Do not make any medical decision based on this report alone.
