Our tests fall into several categories:

What are the limits of your tests?

• Our tests are for informational and educational purposes. They are not intended to be used as a diagnostic tool. Your traits are not only influenced by genetics, but also by many other factors such as social and geographical environment, education, lifestyle, etc. We encourage you to interpret the results with caution, and to consult healthcare professionals for further evaluation if necessary.

• The information extracted from the tests and presented in our reports should be considered as indications of predisposition and not as definitive diagnoses. Their relevance may vary according to numerous environmental factors.

   

What is the scientific basis for your tests?

• A parentage test uses DNA to establish family relationships. It analyzes genetic markers to identify biological relationships between parents and children, grandparents, uncles, aunts, twins and siblings. DNA comparison reveals specific genetic similarities, indicating a family relationship.  These tests exploit genetic patterns of inheritance shared by members of the same family. In this way, they can map out extended family connections, offering a precise overview of biological links.  Our parentage tests offer close to 99.9% accuracy.
• Our lifestyle and health tests are based on a combination of cutting-edge technologies and internationally recognized scientific studies. DNA sequencing is performed using Illumina technology. This technology can analyze over 700,000 genetic markers. Added to this is the integration of peer-reviewed studies accepted by the international scientific community, which enable a connection to be made between a particular gene and a potential predisposition. This ensures that reports are based on recent, relevant scientific data that reflect an established scientific consensus.

What information can I find in your genetic reports?

• Depending on the type of test you choose, you can expect to receive detailed information about your parentage, your ancestry, personalized health advice, or insight into specific genetic traits.

Can your tests identify predispositions to certain diseases?

• Yes, our Genetic Predisposition Test answers this question. However, this test is not intended for diagnostic purposes.

How long does it take to deliver the kit after I place my order?

• Delivery time is generally 3 to 5 working days after ordering.

What are the instructions for using and registering your kit?

• You will find detailed instructions with each kit to facilitate sample collection.
• You'll also find instructions for registering your kit online and giving your consent to genetic analysis.

How do I return my sample collection kit?

Once the sample has been collected and registered, the following steps must be followed:

• A prepaid return label is included in your envelope;
• Affix it in the same place as the original shipping label;
• Seal your envelope, making sure that it contains the sample tube well sealed in its plastic packaging;
• Ship your enveloppe by mail by dropping it off in a standard mailbox.
• You'll be able to track your order, and we'll send you key notifications of your sample's status by e-mail.

Can I order a kit as a gift for someone else?

Yes, you can order a kit as a gift and have it delivered directly to the person concerned.

Can I order several reports from a single sample kit?

Yes, you'll see the option to add reports to your kit in the purchase process. You can decide to add one report, two reports or even choose to add all available reports to your kit. Once you've chosen the quantity, you'll be able to select which report to add to your kit. Adding several reports to your kit is highly advantageous, as the cost of each report goes down.

How long will it take to receive my results?

The time required to process and analyze your sample depends on the type of report you have ordered. Once it arrives at the laboratory, processing times are as follows:

1. Parentage tests are processed in 24h to 48 hours and results are normally received within 10 days following processing.
2. Biomarker tests are processed in 7 to 14 working days.
3. Sports performance, nutrition, skincare, talent & personality, microbiome, genetic predisposition and pharmacogenetics tests are processed in 24h to 48 hours and results are normally received within 30 to 60 days of placing your order.

How will I receive my results?

You will receive an email notification when your report has arrived on the Adnà portal. Simply log in to your account.
 

The delivery time for your kit is usually 3 to 5 working days after placing your order.

The time required to process and analyze your sample depends on the type of report you have ordered. Once at the laboratory, processing times are as follows:

• Parentage tests are processed in 3 to 5 working days.
• Prenatal tests are processed in 5 to 7 working days.
• Tests for sports performance, nutrition, skincare, talent & personality, microbiome, genetic predisposition and pharmacogenetics are processed within 60 working days.
